Natural Herbs & Their Power

Many people who use natural herbs for more than just cooking have a particular kind of knowledge that allows them to go above and beyond the usual mental constraints of “mundane” thinking. Many of these people have a particular intuition about how to blend herbs for stronger benefit, in their magical work and otherwise.

Zen Spiritual has a wide selection of natural herbs and similar Zen products for all manner of magical uses, but there are three major areas where you might need a particular boost.

  • Sandalwood & Spearmint

Commonly used in incense, sandalwood has many known magical uses, not the least of which is protection. Another herb you can use for protection through cleansing is spearmint, especially if you are not fond of the smell of sandalwood. A rather unique herb to try is Brazilian Pepperberry, which assists in removing negativity. Both spearmint and the Brazilian Pepperberry can be used in herbal baths. If you want a more powerful combination, try the “7 Ervas” (herbs) blend, all the ingredients of which can be used in protection via baths or rituals.

  • Jasmine

This is one of the most common natural herbs used in conjunction with love and romance, as it’s long been thought of as an aphrodisiac. You can use it in love spells and rituals, as well as for general relaxation. Another item to try in the realm of love is the Attraction Mixture which is a blend of various herbs for the purpose of a woman attracting male attention. There is also a bath-centred love spell to try as well.

  • Lavender

Healing doesn’t always have to do with physical pain. These days, emotional pain and anxiety can be alleviated by the healing power of natural herbs. One such herb is lavender, which has long been hailed as one of the ultimate relaxation and stress-relief herbs. While you can use essential oils, to get the full effect of lavender’s power, burn it on a self-lighting charcoal briquette as an herbal incense. Either having it burning during a ritual, or simply take the lavender (burning safely in a heat-proof container with sand underneath the briquette) from room to room to promote relaxation and healing from stress in every part of your house.

There are many more options for you to try in these—and many other—areas of life, but these selections will give you a jump start into the powerful world of natural herbs.
